For most Americans this winter will go down in history. Before one storm can be cleared away another one lies in its wake, enter apropos nicknames like Snowmageddon and Snowpocalypse. No matter what you call it, it sucks and supplies normally fully in stock are dwindling. One such staple is the all-important winter boot.

According to the New York Times as reported by Jezebel.com, “We are completely short, completely out of stock at this point,” said Brian Rosener, the manager of the Eastern Mountain Sports store at Broadway and 76th Street who has worked at the store on and off for 15 years. “This is the most thorough sell-through that I’ve seen.” Rosener also added “It’s been a tough winter to stay ahead of the curve. We’ve gotten very good at apologizing and finding other stores to get the products in.” The thought of all those East Coasters slogging through the rest of the winter without the proper footwear makes us sad. Luckily here at Shopping Blitz we are well stocked to keep feet warm and dry.

I won’t lie when things get quiet around here at Shopping Blitz headquarters I often find myself daydreaming. My swivel chair morphs into a hammock and the concrete floor becomes the softest, whitest sand
I have ever seen. My coworker’s snores become the sound of waves crashing and my cubicle dissolves into miles of pristine blue water. And like that I am on vacation! Nothing gets me in the mood for my mini retreats like promoting some of my favorite summer gear.
I recently stumbled across Teva‘s new Cozumel Beaded Flip Flop Sandals while browsing our new product selections. What drew me immediately was the unique design and flow. From the waterproof leather uppers to the Mush midsoles promising comfort no matter where the warm weather takes you. These sandals invoke for me not only lazy days at the beach but adventure, road trips, letting loose and letting go. In the words of the ultimate adventurer Jack Kerouac, “Live, travel, adventure, bless, and don’t be sorry.”
